From the 3rd Cookbook: Giggle Water
With Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hitting theaters this week, I wanted to give you all a sneak peek at the latest Geeky Chef cookbook—this time, it’s a cocktail book! The Geeky Chef Drinks dives into fantastical libations, including this one from Fantastic Beasts.
While Fantastic Beasts serves as a prequel to the Harry Potter series, it’s only loosely tied to the original story. Set in the 1920s, it follows magical animal rights activist Newt Scamander as he travels to the United States to return a magical creature to its natural habitat. During a speakeasy scene, Queenie orders a drink known as Giggle Water.
Historically, Giggle Water was Prohibition-era slang for Champagne, but you don’t need to be a Legilimens to know this version ain't that. With classic American ingredients like bourbon and apple cider, this delicious shooter is as American as apple pie... And kinda tastes like it too! And, if it works like it does in the movie, it might just leave you in stitches (of laughter, hopefully).

3 fl oz (90 ml) Bourbon
2 fl oz (30 ml) Butterscotch Schnapps
2 fl oz (60 ml) Spiced Apple Cider
